Work @ Orbis as Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

Participating in requirements gathering discussions
Assisting clients over the phone during production issues
Coordination of feature implementation with other developers.
Assessing the impact of new features on existing infrastructure
Providing long term solutions and short term options for common maintenance requests
Improving and monitoring application availability
Ability to follow set policies, coding standards, best practices, etc
Implementing and improving deployment procedures for new and existing applications
Desire to keep in tune with the latest technologies

Technical requirements:

Two to five years of industry experience
Excellent knowledge of web protocols and client-server interaction
Knowledge of ASP and VB 6.0
Java, Swing, Threads and J2EE (Tomcat application server experience is a plus)
Experience with interpreted languages, such as PHP, Perl, Shell Script is desirable
Good understanding of Object Oriented concepts, design patterns, and software engineering practices
Experience working with various types of databases, including: MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle
SQL/Stored Procedures (Oracle, MySQL experience is a plus)
Linux networking and administration
Familiarity with CVS
HTML/CSS/Java Script/AJAX
